IF YOU LOVE SIMPLE YET STYLISH DECOR THEN YOULL ADORE THIS PALM BEACH ISLAND WEDDING!

Jodie and Alan had their ceremony at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Downtown West Palm Beach followed by a reception at Sailfish Club of Florida on West Palm Beach Island, on August 11, 2018 . It was a stunning wedding, with simple yet stylish decor classic white florals and romantic candles as the main decor.

The Bride and Groom got ready at The Hilton in Downtown Palm beach near City Place. Jodie was surrounded by her adorable nieces, lovely bridesmaids and adoring mother. There was such serene vibe. Her bridesmaids attended to all of her needs, even laying our all of her cherished details for us to photograph. She wore a floor length sheath silhouette with lace detailing and buttons all down the back.  After the last button was secure,  Jodie revealed her look, all done up, first to her dad and then to her bridesmaids.

Alan was surrounded with his groomsmen and handsome little nephew carrying his new polaroid in tow. I think he was trying to put me out of a job.  Alan wore a classic black suit with a black tie, and looked incredibly dapper.

Jodie and Alan chose to have a first look with one another before the ceremony. We chose a private spot and gave the couple time to admire, cry and pray as we clicked away documenting their special moment out of site.  After the intimate, heartfelt first look, the Bride, Groom and entire wedding party travelled to the St Anns Catholic Church by party bus.

The ceremony took place at their local church in Downtown West Palm Beach. The church was adorned with old family photographs, a perfect way to honor their loved ones. The ceremony began with Jodies bridesmaids singing alongside the pianist and finished with the couple walking back down the aisle together. Did you know that this has always been one of my very  favorite wedding day moments?  As they turn to take their first steps in marriage, they are met with the loving expressions from each of their loved ones. The Couples faces are always priceless.   It was a moving ceremony, full of tears of joy and so much love.

After the ceremony, The wedding party rode the party bus to the reception, which is such a great time for the newly married couple to have some time to let it sink in. Then we took some time out for photos, which was the perfect time for me to get candids and  group photos of the wedding party  . I got some stunning couples photos on the marina docks overlooking the Intracoastal stormy skies set in giving us a dramatic backdrop and a much needed break from the August sun. The sky was threatening to downpour,  but waited just in time for us to finish our portraits and head in to cocktail hour.

For the reception, the couple had organized a cozy cocktail hour and savory hors d oeuvres for their guests; everyone mingled and shared favorite stories of the bride and groom After cocktails and mingling the bride and groom where introduced through a Wedding Party tunnel.  Followed by traditional first daces. From the couples first dance to daddy and daughter, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Dinner was an elaborate buffet. It was absolutely delicious. They had speeches during the dinner, which were so emotional some of the best speeches I have heard yet.

After the speeches, the guests flooded the dance floor, and the evening kicked off. The DJ kept the party going all night with a mix of oldies and guest favorites. The evening ended with an elaborate dessert display,  which was such a unique idea they guest couldn’t stay away. The whole wedding was so romantic, from traditional church ceremony to waterside- marina reception. One of the most memorable moments of the wedding was the speeches; they were so true, honest and heartfelt. The Father-daughter dance was also a talking point of the wedding they emotion on their faces as well as their guest was such a treat to photograph.

I just loved this stylish yet elegant waterside wedding. If youre getting married and looking for a Sailfish Club of Florida wedding photographer, get in touch.
